RESULTSSolihull and Kingswood

Well the horses have had a small amount of consistent work so last Wednesday we headed off to Solihull with 6 young horses on the wagon. they all behaved well and jumped around for a fence in the jump off in most cases which was more than we expected as we thought excitement might get the better of them. The highlight of the day was Carl and BML Balia NL winning the British Novice this was Balia's first double clear so winning was a real bonus.
To follow up on our day at Solihull we thought it was wise to take the youngsters again this weekend especially as the alternative was Southview for the older horses who are perhaps not quite fit enough or prepared enough to jump the bigger classes so soon after their enforced rest. So we headed off to Kingswood. Four out of the five youngsters jumped double clears in the British Novice Balia(4th), Breaker,Zipina(5th) and Anouk(she now has her 4 double clears)then Cecile had a fence down in the jump off. There was also a Blue Chip Star qualifier on so in the two spare spaces on the wagon we put to older horses for a run around this Applebee who is actually still eligible for the Power(newcomers)but weather prevented her from jumping these-she jumped a lovely double clear and is now ready to step back into foxhunter. The other horse was Domino van het Eikenhof Carl jumped a double clear with her and was placed 7th which picked up a qualifying spot so in all the return to the shows has been successful!
