Busy days!!

Training with Geoff Glazzard and an evening at Prescott.

Well after a couple of busy days our temporary stables are up so we now have enough space to start foaling the mares.
We spent all of Wednesday schooling the horses under Geoff's supervision which I have to say left me as stiff as a board on Thursday morning but I was glad to hear that Carl had felt the same!!
As we'd had a long day on Wednesday we decided to forgo our trip to Olney-the horses had gone well enough and as always there were alot of jobs still to be done. So we slipped off in the evening to Prescott with the young horses most in need of a show. We popped Arcorana on the wagon as she'd had a school the day before and gone well but having never been jumped anywhere other than our arena we didn't know what to expect-Carl jumped her in the British Novice and just had 4 faults in the jump off and it was a lovely round to watch!! I took Zipina and Cecile in the Discovery and Zipina had a plank down in the jump off (along with 90% of the class) they were leaning towards you with a slighlty false ground line!! Cecile improves greatly with each show and the ride is getting better her keeness is her downfall at the moment. Carl took Balia in the 1.05 and jumped a great double clear the horse is relaxing so much now and his true jump(which is amazing) is coming out more and more. I took Avola in this class and had 4 faults in the jump off but this round was so much more relaxed than her first. So all in all we had a good trianing show and star of the evening out was really Cordino-he has never been on the wagon since he came from Holland and he loaded straight on, was no problem with the other horses and Carl had a ride in the collecting ring under the lights and he was very well behaved jumped the fences and acted like an old-hand at the job then loaded back up having thoroughly enjoyed himself!!
