Busy days!!Visitors,Vets and a sore throat!!

A busy day again at the Castell-everything did go according to plan though!!!
All the sheds were finished being fed and bedded down and the foals cleaned out and rebedded and fed all before 9.30am when the vet arrived to vet Lambus. As the vet was here we got him to sedate Avalon so I could clip him, so whilst I got on with this Carl helped with the vetting and Mark dealt with James - he's from Elite Stallions and we use some of their stallions each year.
After Lambus had passed his vetting with flying colours we then had the vet to scope several horses and the most interesting was Zatina T-ever since she was broken in she has made a noise and Geoff Glazzard along with several others had said it was a shame but it often happens with Burggraaf in the breeding. So as it has never altered we had resigned ourselves to this fact but as she has been jumping so well and showing so much ability we thought it only fair to see if anything could be done to help her. So imagine our surprise when all that could be seen was a sore throat!!!! Apparently some horses are like this and will definately grow out of it- so I best get her some honey and lemon!!!
So by the time all this was over and done with we'd missed breakfast so had to settle for a full english lunch instead. Followed by an afternoon catching up with the riding- during which Carl actually had two flying lessons!!!! I had a near miss on Zanzibar-I thought it would be a good idea to have a trot and canter in the field as he's now back in full work, I thought he'd enjoy it for a change- the trouble was he nearly enjoyed it too much I had several whopping bucks which left me hanging on his ears!!
