Results The First Outdoor Show!!

Well Sunady was the first outdoor show for us and the horses behaved exremely well to start we jumped Cecile, Barney and Avola in the 1.05 as we thought the main ring at Weston Lawns might prove to be a little spooky. For Barney and Avola this proved unnecessary Avola had a double clear and Barney rolled a pole off the stile. Cecile however jumped a lovely clear until she spotted the dreaded cloud fence in the jump off!!!! She did jump it 2nd time but wasn't entirely convinced it was safe!!
We then took Barney, Avola, Anouk, Cecile and Balia in the Newcomers - Barney and Avola both rolled a pole in the jump off but jumped super rounds. Whilst Balia, Anouk and Cecile all produced double clears which for Cecile was a good achievement as it was her first Newcomers and Anouk picked up a 5th place.
Carl then took a 4yr old - Lambus - around the British Novice for his first trip to a show-he jumped a fabulous round but rolled the last pole as I think the brain strain got to him and felt far too weary!!
To finish off the day we took Applebee and Lord Castell in the Foxhunter and both jumped super Apple had the first part of the combination down and Lord Castell jumped a lovely clear-we decided not to jump him off as he went so well and has a long summer ahead of him and after all he doesn't need his Foxhunter clears until after June.

The other bit of news is the Energy XS had her foal the early hours of Saturday morning a bay filly by the Clinton son - Zacharov!! Bay at the moment but I think the grey eyelids are going to mean a change of colour!!
