Shows and a foal!!Blue Chip, Weston Lawns and an Eldorado foal.

Well after the first day at the Winter Championships we thought we were definatly in for a miserable show. The main arena at the Blue Chips seemed to be a very probromatic ring for lots of horses ours included!!! Our best result was 12 faults worst was 2 eliminations and a rider fall and a horse fall so it seemed a few days training were to be had! The second day things looked up tremendously Zatina T had a clear and 4 in her Discovery championship, Ursula came 2nd in a 1.20 open and Lord Castell came 7th in the Devacoux Star final which was won by Norman Proffitt on Marks daughters horse. Mark was busy travelling back home at night as we had several mares looking keen to get on with foaling and although his night time vigils were in vain it did mean he was able to pick up Breaker and bring him to the show for his new owner to take delivery!! The third day of the show was a good day Domino qualified the 1.25 final and Avalon who came for the day was 7th in the 1.15 qualifier. Then in the finals Ursula and Domino both had an unlucky pole in the 1.25 but jumped very well and Avalon jumped a lovely double clear for 8th place in the 1.15. Mark had a eventful trip home and lost the caravan off the back of the wagon-there was a blow out and it started to snake and before he could pull up the hitch broke and the caravan shot off backwards down the road luckily it was avoided by the oncoming cars!!
After another sleepless night Parsilber brought her foal on Saturday evening about 10pm a lovely colt by Eldorado.
Today-Sunday we've had a trip to Weston Lawns to prepare for the coming week at the Welsh Masters. We jumped 6 in the Newcomers 4 had a pole and the Avola and Balia jumped double clears for 5th and 3rd placings. Anouk had a double clear in the 1.15. Lord Castell had a fence in the Foxhunter and Lambus had a trip around the British Novice for 4faults at the last fence.
So all in all we've had a hectic few days - and good news has been received this evening Breaker has attended his first show with his new owners and gained a double clear in both the Discovery and the Newcomers so he is keeping up the good work!!!
