A Few Good ShowsThen a week end off!!

Well the past few weeks have been busy - we started off with a normal weekend show at Southview which went well as Zanzibar, Lord Castell and Avola were 4th, 5th and 6th in the Foxhunter which was also a Blue Riband qualifier for Scope 2012. The following week end was the Developement Classic at Southview and the horses all jumped good Zanzibzr was placed in the Foxhunter on the Friday and also joint 2nd in the Blue Chip B/C qualifier. Avola, Lord Castell and Ulrich all jumped the B and C which was good experience for them to step up to 1.30 as although Lord Castell and Ulrich have jumped this height before it was not recently!! The Saturday at the show started well with a 5th in the Foxhunter for Avola then Zanzibar and Lord Castell both managed to jump clear in the Winter Grade C qualifier but were unlucky in the jump off.
The following week we nipped off to Southview and hired the arena to take 8 of the youngsters for a look around before their first competition on the following Sunday. The schooling and the show both went well-Lambus had his first run out in quite a while and came 2nd in the British Novice and 7th in the Discovery. Chagall also ventured out again and was 4th in the British Novice. The babies Lucy Lancer, Danna, Cioletta, Conwy, Daddy's Pleasure and Carla were all very good the went through the start and through the finish which is always a bonus with youngsters!!! In fact we had no stops with them just odd fences down when they were unbalanced so felt happy enough to then jump them in the Discovery and they all went even better again in fact Conwy managed his first double clear!!
This week end we had set out sights on Aintree and Hartpury for the Blue Chip qualifiers but as the week progressed the weather looked dodgy!! We thought we'd probably leave home ok on the Saturday morning but wouldn't fair so well on the way home so we decided to stay home and relax!!!
