SUNSHINEand shows!!

Well the farm is still as busy as ever but with the sunshine we've been having things seem a bit easier!! We missed a week end of shows as we had several horses to have their flu jabs and unfortunately most seemed to have a reaction so it meant a week end at home which wasn't all bad as Wales won the rugby!! We had customers over last week and sold the only Zanzibar 4yr old we have-she wasn't the biggest but boy could she jump!! Claire Hansen and Rikki Gradley bought her and also took a couple of our youngsters home with a view to furthering their education and maybe finding them homes-Claire has taken Carla and Anouk to their first show since she's had them and was placed with Anouk in the Newcomers and did a fabulous double clear in the Discovery with Carla which is available to view on you tube so I will attach a link on her page of this web site. We had a visit from our friend Jan Greve this week end and it was great to see him and be able to show him some of the stock we have bought from him in the past few years. We jumped Avola who is by his lovley stallion Tjungske and he really liked her then we jumped several of our 4yr olds Conwy and Ultra T which also met his approval. We bought several 2yr old mares from him with good familes so we could start our breeding project so it was good to be able to show him the 2yr olds we now have out of those mares. We loose jumped several of our 2yr old colts and one was chosen to return to Holland with him. Then as Jan had a days eventing planned for Sunday with Sian Wynne-Morris, who has produced several of his horses, we decided to take off to Field House to jump a few horses. The day went well Lambus stepped up to Newcomers and Chagall jumped the 1.05 both were still a little green but good. Carl then had double clears with Balia and Cordino in the Newcomers and was placed 3rd and 5th-Balia is now ready to step back up after his winters rest. Then I had double clears with Lord Castell and Avola in the Foxhunter and gained 3rd and 4th with them Carl was clear with Ulrich but had an unlucky fence on a turn back in the jump off. Best of all was the sun shining all day and the fact that it has been out all day today aswell. With every dry, warm day the turning out of the 80 horses from the barns out to the fields is looking closer- sofingers crossed for the weather to remain!!!!
