3 Year olds

The colts and geldings are turned out in the spring then brought in over the summer months to be lightly backed.

The fillies that stayed barren as 2 year olds are now put to the stallion and a percentage that foal as 3 year olds are also covered for the following season. When the foals are weaned the barren mares are then backed and turned away until the following spring.
